Curb Appeal Program

Beautifying Mount Washington, porch-by-porch.

MWCDC’s Curb Appeal Program is designed to assist low and moderate income (LMI) homeowner-occupants, and small businesses, to improve the appearance, energy efficiency and safety of their properties, and to reduce maintenance expenses. The Curb Appeal Program began in 2018 with our Front Door Pilot Program (FDPP) for LMI homeowner-occupants. This program offers front/storm door painting, a new mailbox, and new house numbers and porch lights to eligible applicants, all for $30.00. MWCDC is in the process of expanding its Curb Appeal Program as part of our 2019-2025 Neighborhood Partnership Program (with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy as our partner and UPMC Health Plan as our corporate sponsor).

Apply here to win a front-porch makeover, including a new door, fresh paint, new address lettering, and a new LED light. Funding and labor provided by Cyle Dowling, Sherwin Williams, and the East End Home Depot.
