The Mt. Washington location of the Carnegie Library was built in 1900 and was designed by the architectural firm Alden & Harlow. It’s known for being located across Grandview Avenue from the iconic city viewpoints and is one of the first neighborhood-style libraries built by Andrew Carnegie. It was designated a historic landmark in 1989 and is currently under construction.
