Eureka Street Renovation, SOLD!
After months of hard work and investment, another residential rehab is close to completion in Mount Washington. The strategy calls for additional investment in areas that haven’t received as much investment as others in our neighborhood, with a focus on increasing owner-occupancy through the creation of quality, affordable home ownership opportunities. The project is the second residential rehab on Eureka Street directed by the MWCDC, and began when a...

ADVISORY FROM PORT AUTHORITY: Port Authority’s light rail system and several bus routes will be affected this weekend due to multiple detours. First, the Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel will be closed for maintenance from approximately 11 p.m. Friday, August 15 until 11 a.m. Saturday, August 16. Red Line and Blue Line service will be routed over the former Allentown Line in both directions. Due to the detour, all T service will be unable to serve Station Square, so a free rail shuttle will operate between Station Square and First Avenue Station to help riders connect to and from Station Square. Buses that normally use the tunnel will also be detoured. Then, on Sunday, August 17 from start of service until approximately 1 p.m., the Transit Tunnel will be closed again, repeating the same detour for T and buses. Also on Sunday, a portion of the Red Line will be closed for rail work from approximately 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., affecting outbound service south of South Hills Junction. Outbound Red Line vehicles will detour using the Blue Line’s routing from South Hills Junction to Willow Station/Overbrook Junction. Shuttle buses will operate from South Hills Junction to Overbrook Junction/Willow Station. Riders using detoured bus and light rail service should allow for extra travel time. For more information, riders may visit or call Customer Service at 412-442-2000 (TTY 412-231-7007). ...
