In August 2010 the MWCDC commissioned a 10 Year Housing Strategy to help guide its real estate investment. Since 2012 we have been successfully implementing our plan to create an inclusive, viable and sustainable housing stock in the neighborhood. In 2013 MWCDC’s first two residential real estate development projects were completed; single-family rehabs sold to owner-occupants. Two more residential rehabs were sold in 2014 and 2015.
The MWCDC works closely with the City of Pittsburgh Department of Finance and other service providers to facilitate the expansion of quality affordable and market-rate housing.
